Signal Chain was founded by Daniel Kohnen to bring enterprise-grade supply chain strategy and operational rigor to companies navigating today's most complex global challenges. Daniel's career spans leadership roles at Apple, Samsara, and the United States Navy — environments where failure is not an option and precision drives everything.
At Apple, Daniel led global supply management for iPhone battery programs across multiple product generations, driving over $100M in savings and enabling the successful shipment of more than 500 million devices. At Samsara, he built and led an international supply chain organization responsible for $300M in spend across 180 hardware products — delivering best-in-class margins and supply continuity through the COVID-era disruptions that derailed competitors.
Before business school at the Yale School of Management, Daniel served seven years as a U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine Officer, where he was directly responsible for billion-dollar warship operations and was recognized as the Submarine Squadron Seven Junior Officer of the Year.
